WildQuest in the Real World
How Alkira Adina brings WildQuest to life
http://www.alkiraadinaequestrian.com.au
WildQuest Education has been shaped through real, hands-on delivery at Alkira Adina Equestrian, where these approaches have been used and refined with children and families over the past three years.
At Alkira Adina, we use horses as learning buddies to support maths, literacy, communication, and emotional skills through experiential learning. The sessions are practical, child-led, and grounded in connection — and they’ve played a key role in shaping the philosophies, structure, and activities you see within WildQuest today.
What began as on-the-ground sessions has grown into a flexible framework that can be adapted anywhere. While Alkira Adina works exclusively with horses, WildQuest encourages families and educators to use what they already have — pets, stuffed toys, favourite objects, or nature — as learning companions.
This real-world delivery has helped us refine:
-
how activities flow in a session
-
how children engage when learning feels meaningful
-
how parents and educators can confidently guide learning without needing to be “teachers”
As WildQuest continues to grow, we’re also laying the groundwork for future educator and facilitator pathways, allowing others to deliver WildQuest-inspired learning in their own communities.
(More on that soon.)
